Not seen after sunset: On 15 Oct 2023, ICOUK member Shaykh Sulayman Gani from Croydon (Norbury) City in the Greater London County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.

Shaykh Sulayman Gani commented: "I was alone to observe the hilal. I arrived at the location after sunset. It was not sighted with the naked eye".

Mr Faruq Bilbe commented: "Although the cloud appeared above the horizon even the sunset didn’t appear below it. There must have been a solid bank of clouds on the distant horizon. Rain was visible in the direction of Northern Ireland, which reached me as I was packing up. I believe the moon should have been close to the Isle of Man".

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "It was fairly clear sky in York today (15/10/2023) as the sunset was easily seen, but the moon was not seen (even though the moon position was clear in the sky). I hope to try again tomorrow (weather permitting), InshaAllah".

Mr Hatim El-Harrak commented: "Through my lens this evening, it was not possible to observe the crescent of the month of Rabi Al-Akhir 1445 AH from the city of Tangier".

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "It was partly cloudy in York today (16/10/2023) and the sunset was clearly seen. However, there was a dark bank of clouds above the lower horizon where the moon was expected (on the far left of the sunset) so it was not seen".

Not seen after sunset: On 17 Oct 2023, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York (New Earswick) City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "There was a clear patch of clear sky on the far left of the sun about an hour before sunset, so there was a very good chance to see the moon tonight. However, closer to sunset, a dark patch of clouds appeared high above the horizon (about 3° altitude), hiding the low-altitude moon completely. Hence it was not seen (even with dark adapting the eyes with sunglasses)".

On Sunday, 15th October 2023 (29th Rabi-ul Awwal 1445 AH) the Hilal of Rabi-ul Thani 1445 was not sighted in the UK (Local). Therefore, the month of Rabi-ul Awwal 1445 AH will complete 30 days and the month of Rabi-ul Thani 1445 AH will start on Tuesday, 17th October 2023, InShaAllah.
