London (Canary Wharf)
Not seen after sunset: On 18 Feb 2026, ICOUK member Mr Abdul Karim from London (Canary Wharf) City in the Greater London County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Abdul Karim commented: "Unfortunately, it was totally cloudy here; otherwise there may have been a possibility through the buildings".
Slough
Not seen after sunset: On 18 Feb 2026, ICOUK member Mr Ashruf Amod from Slough City in the Berkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Rainy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.
Mr Ashruf Amod commented: "I arrived at the site at 4:10 pm. It had started raining, and the clouds were heavy and grey. It was overcast. I set the equipment to check directions; however, the rain got even heavier. I went back to my car and waited to check if the weather would improve. I checked the weather forecast, and it showed no improvement was expected. There was no sighting at Slough".
York (New Earswick)
Not seen after sunset: On 18 Feb 2026, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York (New Earswick) City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "It was totally cloudy in York today (18/2/2026), both before and after sunset, so the moon was not seen. We have not received any sighting reports from the UK at the time of reporting (18:15 GMT)".
Guernsey
Cobo Grande Rocques
Seen after sunset: On 18 Feb 2026, ICOUK member Hafiz Imraan Moolla from Cobo Grande Rocques City in the Vale County (Guernsey) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was Seen by Naked-eye.
Hafiz Imraan Moolla commented: "My family (wife and kids) and brother Mohammed Hassen arrived at grande rocque on the West Coast of Guernsey. It was cloudy the whole day but we had a break and then. Moon was clearly visable for about 5 mins before disappearing again".
Announcement for start of Ramadan 1447 AH
On Wednesday, 18th February 2026 (29th Shaban 1447 AH), the Hilal of Ramadan 1447 was sighted in Guernsey, Channel Islands, British Isles (Local), according to the rules of Shariah. Therefore, Shaban 1447 AH will have 29 days, and Ramadan 1447 AH will start on Thursday, 19th February 2026, InShaAllah.
