Announcement for start of Ramadan 1439 AH
On Wednesday 16th May 2018 (29th Shaban 1439 AH) the Hilal of Ramadan 1439 was sighted in the UK as well as in Morocco. We have also received a positive sighting report from Morocco Awqaf Ministry (login to view).
Therefore, the month of Shaban 1439 AH will have 29-days and the month of Ramadan 1439 AH will start from Thursday 17th May 2018 (1st Tarawih from the night of Friday 16th May 2018), InShaAllah.
Note that Saudi Arabia normally announce the start of Ramadan on their SPA (www.spa.gov.sa) website.
