The crescent visibility map below for Dhul Qa'dah 1440 shows that moon will be born on 2 July 2019 at 19:16 GMT/UT, but it will not be visible by the naked-eye anywhere in the UK/Morocco region on that date. However, on 3 July 2019 the moon will be easily visible in Europe/West Africa. Hence, the month of Dhul Qa'dah is most likely to start from 4 July 2019, InshaAllah. Not seen after sunset: On 03 Jul 2019, ICOUK member Maulana Hidayatullah Patel from Blackburn (Mellor) City in the Lancashire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.
Maulana Hidayatullah Patel commented: "Seven of us were there for about 50 minutes. Not seen. Lower horizon was obscured with clouds".
Chorley
Not seen after sunset: On 03 Jul 2019, ICOUK member Mr Juned Patel from Chorley City in the Lancashire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Clear, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.
Mr Juned Patel commented: "On Wednesday, 3rd of July 2019 (29 Shawwal 1440 AH) between 21:35 to 22:30 (Sunset 21:40 & Moonset 22:25) at Location: Anglezarke Viewpoint, Chorley, Lancashire UK (+53°38'45"N, -2°34'43"W) / Altitude: 617 feet Height; I attempted to sight the crescent moon (Hilal) of Dhul-Qi'dah. I was not able to sight the Hilal, even though the western horizon was clear. I have attached pictures [of western horizons] here".

Not seen after sunset: On 03 Jul 2019, ICOUK member Mr Modoris Ali from Cradley Heath City in the West Midlands County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Clear, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Modoris Ali commented: "I could not see the moon. I did the observations for 10 minutes until 10 pm".
Crawley
Not seen after sunset: On 03 Jul 2019, ICOUK member Mr Razmy Nazeer Mohamed from Crawley City in the West Sussex County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Clear, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Razmy Nazeer Mohamed commented: "Sky was very clear but couldn’t see the new crescent of Dhul Qaida 1440".

Not seen after sunset: On 03 Jul 2019, ICOUK member Dr Rizwan Irshad from Croydon (Purley) City in the Surrey County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Clear, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Dr Rizwan Irshad commented: "There was a negative sighting in Pollards Hill, Croydon. Atmospheric conditions were good. Present were myself and brother Riaz".

Hafiz Zubair Ayyub commented: "Observation attempted from the Whitley area of Dewsbury (WF12 0NQ). Moon altitude 5 degrees [at sunset]; Sunset 21:39; Moonset 22:22. Crescent sighting was attempted both by the naked eye and Nikon Coolpix P900 in the direction of sunset (just to its left). The sky was clear. Crescent sighting was Negative".
Guiesley, Otley
Not seen after sunset: On 03 Jul 2019, ICOUK member Hafiz Dr Ayyub Patel from Guiesley, Otley City in the West Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Clear, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.
Hafiz Dr Ayyub Patel commented: "Alhmadulillah, eight of us from Dewsbury and Batley went to Surprise View Car Park in Guiseley, Otley near Leeds and Bradford airport. We witnessed the sunset and wonderful panoramic view from the hill top. After sunset, we tried and watched the northwestern horizon for 30 min until the moonset time. We did not see the crescent moon for Dhul Qadah 1440".

Ms Karen Khadija Hall commented: "We arrived just before 21.39, the time for sunset in Leeds. The sunset was beautiful and the sun went down very quickly. It was such a contrast to the rain last time. We waited for half an hour and, although visibility was excellent, we couldn't see the crescent".

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "I had gone to a good location in the outskirts of York to observe the sunset well before sunset time and did a live stream on ICOUK Facebook. The sky was absolutely clear near the horizon and the sunset was seen easily. I waited until Moonset with a pair of binoculars but I was still unable to see the moon due to its low altitude on the horizon. However, we have received positive sighting reports from nearby countries, including Morocco, Alhamdulillah".

Prof Hassan Talibi commented: "لحد الآن لم نر الهلال حتى في الجنوب الغربي | بتت رؤيته في مدينة العيون بالصحراء المغربية; Translation: We have not seen the crescent in the southwest [but] it was sighted in the city of Laayoune in Moroccan [Western] Sahara".

Not seen after sunset: On 03 Jul 2019, ICOUK member Shaykh Sulayman Gani from Sevilla City in the Southern Spain County (Spain) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Shaykh Sulayman Gani commented: "I set out from the UK Wednesday 3rd July to join the observers in Seville in Southern Spain, which is 12 km outside Seville. We attempted the sighting of the 24 hour crescent moon in a location called Ordifelas. We could not see the moon. The atmospheric condition was not good. The location also was not perfect. However, the moon was sighted about 300 km away from Seville in Granada [by another group]".

Shaykha Fatema Bintea Muhammad commented: "Two of us attempted to view the Hilaal from Hackney Marshes. The conditions were slightly cloudy. However, the Hilaal was easily visible to us for the duration of approx 50 minutes after sunset (Photos taken on iPhone). Alhamdu lillah, moon sighting at the same location was originally attempted by 18 brothers and sisters on 03/07/19, corresponding to 29th Shawwaal, as per the sunnah. On that occasion there was a lot of haze and the new crescent was not sighted (Group photo available on request). [Submitted on 5/7/2019 - Admin]".

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "Once again, I was trying to spot the crescent moon of Dhul Qaidah 1440 from York (UK), but it was totally cloudy before and after sunset (as shown on the attached photos). However, I am pleased to learn that many observers from the South of the UK had better luck and were able to see the moon easily, Alhamdulillah.".

Not seen after sunset: On 04 Jul 2019, ICOUK member Mr Toure Abou Mouhamade from Dakar City in the Dakar Region County (Senegal) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.
Mr Toure Abou Mouhamade commented: "لم نر الهلال في فاس تورى وكانت السماء غير صافية. وبعض الاخوان استطلعوا بالتلسكوب في العاصمة دكار ولكنهم لم يروه وكانت السماء غير صافية; Translation: We did not see the crescent and the sky was not clear. Some of the Brothers had explored with telescope in Dakar but had not seen it and the sky was not clear".
Announcement for start of Dhul Qa'dah 1440 AH
On Wednesday 3rd July 2019 (29th Shawwal 1440 AH), the Hilal of Dhul Qa'dah 1440 was not sighted in the UK but it was sighted in Morocco. We have also received a positive sighting report from Morocco Awqaf Ministry (login to view). Therefore, the month of Shawwal 1440 AH will have 29-days and the month of Dhul Qa'dah 1440 AH will start from Thursday 4th July 2019, InShaAllah
Note that Saudi Arabia do not normally make any official Hilal Sighting announcement for Dhul Qa'dah (as they usually follow the Ummul Qura Calendar).
