Not seen after sunset: On 03 Sep 2024, ICOUK member Mr Juned Patel from Bolton City in the Greater Manchester County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.

Mr Juned Patel commented: "The sky where the moon was supposed to be after sunset was completely cloudy in Bolton".

Not seen after sunset: On 03 Sep 2024, ICOUK member Maulana Yusuf Mota from Leeds City in the West Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye.

Maulana Yusuf Mota commented: "Cloudy around sunset point & western horizon for me in Leeds today. Not sighted".

Not seen after sunset: On 03 Sep 2024, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York (Elvington) City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Partly Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "The two of us (I and Br Asad Qureshi) came to the Elvington Airfield about 30 mins before sunset and saw the bright sun, but it went into a bank of low-level clouds soon afterwards. We saw Venus through binoculars about 20 mins after sunset, but the moonset was quickly afterwards, so it was not seen".

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "The three of us (I, Imad Ahmed and Asad Qureshi) came to the Elvington Airfield location, well before sunset but as it was cloudy without any gaps (near the western horizon), so the moon was not seen. Not seen after sunset: On 05 Sep 2024, ICOUK member Eng Qamar Uddin from York (Elvington) City in the North Yorkshire County (United Kingdom) mentioned that the sky was Totally Cloudy, the crescent was not seen by Naked-eye or Binoculars.

Eng Qamar Uddin commented: "The two us (I and Aqaele Peeroo) tried to look for the moon from Elvington Airfield today (5/9/2024) but it was cloudy as yesterday, so the moon was not seen from York ".


Announcement for start of Rabi-ul Awwal 1446 AH

On Tuesday, 3rd September 2024 (29th Safar 1446 AH), the Hilal of Rabi-ul Awwal 1446 was not sighted in the UK (Local), according to the rules of Shariah. Therefore, Safar 1446 AH will complete 30 days, and Rabi-ul Awwal 1446 AH will start on Thursday, 5th September 2024, InShaAllah..
